Position's role as an Analyst is to review and analyze investment adviser, broker-dealer, agent, and investment adviser representative registration applications to determine whether qualifications meet Minnesota’s applicable rules and regulations prior to authorizing their services to Minnesota investors. This also includes reviewing post-registration materials to ensure regulatory compliance. Primary clientele includes investment advisers, broker-dealers, broker-dealer agents, investment adviser representatives and other persons representing them (e.g., staff, attorneys, consultants) in addition to state, federal and self-regulatory organizations.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
BA Degree in Business, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field AND 1-year professional experience performing analysis or similar work
OR
2 years professional experience performing analysis or similar work.
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Applicants who meet the above experience requirements will be further evaluated based on the following:
Strong communication skills (written and oral)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with compliance, operations or sales within the Securities industry
Effective organization and time management skills
Physical Requirements
Occasional lifting of such articles as file boxes and lifting and frequent carrying light objects such as files and laptop computers.
