BWP’s mission is safely providing affordable, reliable, and sustainable utility services to the community. The Water Quality Analyst performs a variety of analytical and technical tasks to ensure BWP remains in compliance with Federal and State water regulations, legislation and policies. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge regarding the principles of water treatment and quality tests; the regulatory codes and laws that govern operation of a potable and recycled water system; the NPDES permit program; and occupational hazards and safety precautions in the workplace. They fully comprehend federal and State requirements and standards for analyzing potable water.
Requires graduation from high school or equivalent, 2 years of technical training, job experience and/or college courses related to water quality and production AND 3 years of recent experience in water quality analysis. Candidates must have certification by AWWA or CWEA as a Water Quality Laboratory Analyst Grade I and must have or be able to obtain, within two years of appointment, valid T2 and D2 certificates.
Salary: $76,990.94 - $106,133.04 per year, DOQ.
