Location: Bethesda, MD - 3 day hybrid

Job Description: National commercial finance company has an in-house opportunity in Bethesda, Maryland, for a self-motivated and experienced legal and compliance specialist to support compliance department on all compliance matters.

Job Responsibilities:

• Experience with loan closings or corporate transactions and corporate structure analysis

• Experience with and ability to complete KYC and AML process pursuant to our policies and procedures

• Ability to listen, learn from team and strong people skills within company deal teams.

• Maintenance of legal files for KYC.

• Ability to multitask and take on new areas for learning in compliance. Such areas may include privacy, loan allocation processes, tracking of all compliance tasks and other regulatory requirements.

• Experience with Advisors Act of 1940, Form ADV and other regulatory matters very helpful.

• Efficiency with IT platforms and ability to learn new platforms quickly is a plus.

• Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of applicable experience, preferably working in an in-house legal department or real estate or corporate transactions in law firm.

• Excellent communication and “people skills”, drafting and negotiation skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Not interested in egos.

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with quick response time.

• Ability to operate without administrative support, including strong Microsoft Office skills.
